When to notify ABA Insurance Services of a potential claim
It is important to notify ABA Insurance Services as soon as possible to ensure that notice under the policy is timely. Insureds often wonder if a situation constitutes a claim under one or more of their policies. If you are in doubt, notify ABA Insurance Services to discuss whether or not the situation is a claim and what further action needs to be taken.

Initial Information needed to report a:
Financial Institution Bond, Professional Liability or Cyber claim

  • your contact information
  • description of the claim
  • any supporting documentation, such as a copy of the complaint

Property & Casualty or Mortgage Protection claim

  • your contact information
  • date of loss
  • location/property where the loss occurred
  • description of the claim (with any supporting documentation)
  • applicable policy number(s)

Who will contact you
ABA Insurance Services will contact you, confirming within 48 hours the receipt of your claim. Claims processes differ depending on the type of claim filed--the matter will be forwarded to either a claims adjuster or a claims attorney who will contact you shortly to discuss the matter in further detail and explain next steps in the claims handling process.
