||Senior Software Engineer
Hal joined the program in 2005, first as part of Progressive, and has been working since then on maintaining and enhancing the company’s underwriting and claims management systems. He has over 20 years of experience in software and database development in both consulting and direct employment. He has implemented cutting edge technologies for the Naval Air Warfare Center, the State of Ohio and companies such as Victoria’s Secret, Oracle and Novell. He was also a lead member of the team that created Arizona State University’s graduate admissions system, which received the Governor’s Award for Excellence in several categories. Hal has a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Ohio State University.
Hal is a ping pong enthusiast and is always ready for a game after work. Whether it was luck or skill, he was a member of the winning team in the company’s first doubles tournament. He has been practicing Tai Chi for 20 years and also loves photography and jamming on the drums.
Frank joined ABA Insurance Services shortly after the formation of the company in 2010. Prior to working for the company, Frank worked at PNC Bank for 5 years as a programmer and business analyst. Before PNC, he worked at Progressive as a mainframe programmer. Frank holds a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from Cleveland State University.
Frank and his wife purchased their first home in University Heights. Like most first time home owners, Frank spends the majority of his time on various projects around the house. He enjoys attending concerts, sporting events and taking his dog to the dog park. Frank is also an avid Crossfitter and plays on several flag football teams on the weekends.
As a part of the company since 2015, Christina serves as a Software Engineer, assisting with the development of ProCision/EpiCenter and with front end UI development experiences along with Quality Assurance Testing. Christina has an extensive development and technical background. She is working on obtaining a Master of Science in Computer Science and Video Game Design/Development from Southern New Hampshire University. She earned her B.S. in Information Technology and Security/Network Administration from Baker College, and her Associate’s degree in General Studies and Computer Graphics Technology from Schoolcraft College, Livonia, Michigan.
Christina resides in Brunswick with her husband, her spunky daughter and two cats. Passionate about all technology and development, she enjoys her development and engineering projects involving Artificial Intelligence, Mobile Applications, and Video Game Development outside of the office. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her daughter, volunteering for nonprofit organizations that interact with young women interested in STEM careers and programs such as "Girls Who Code," and reading as well as competing in US Adult Figure Skating Competitions nationally and internationally, running Half/full Marathons and competing in local CrossFit Competitions. She enjoys traveling and interacting with individuals from around the world. She was honorably selected as a Game Changer for the 2017 Women in Gaming/Technology Luncheon, Sponsored by Microsoft. She hopes her efforts make an impact both in and out of the office, inspire more girls to be involved with technology and make a difference in the industry of IT/Computer.
Bill has 25 years of software development and infrastructure design experience. He worked for a diverse group of organizations including federal government contractors, large insurance companies, and small technology start-ups. He joined Progressive Insurance in 2003 where he served as an IT Application Programmer Consultant and later joined the Professional Liability Group. Bill transitioned to ABA Insurance Services at the company's inception in April 2010 when Progressive’s Professional Liability Group was split off in April 2010. Bill received his BS in Computer Science from The Pennsylvania State University.
When not at work, Bill and his wife spend time growing organic fruit and veggies and raising heritage breed chickens and ducks for eggs and meat.
Michelle joined ABA Insurance Services directly from Progressive when the Professional Liability Group reorganized in April 2010. Michelle handles all licensing for ABA Insurance Services' multi-state underwriting and claims handling requirements, as well as a multitude of regulatory compliance issues. She also provides primary support to ABA Insurance’s HR Manager with all areas of human resources' requirements. Prior to joining Progressive in 1999, Michelle worked for the law firm of Seeley, Savidge & Ebert as a legal assistant.
Michelle is married with a family and too many dogs, and an avid, competitive tennis player who has captained doubles teams to Ohio State Championships.
Greg facilitates internal IT support for all employees of ABA Insurance Services. He has been with the company since 2014 and in the IT profession since 1995.Greg has a BS from Ashland University in Sales and Management and prior to joining ABA Insurance Services, ran his own IT consulting business for the past 10 years. He has worn many hats in the IT Industry, including, onsite classroom Instructor and hardware repair. He has worked for and contracted with dozens of Cleveland businesses including Automatic Data Processing, Roadway Express and Bank One to name a few.
Greg’s interests include charitable work such as The Cleveland APL, Cleveland SPCA and The City Mission. Greg also races in Road Course and Drag Course events.
Vicki currently serves as Operations Assistant/Receptionist and has been with our program since 1990. She has provided invaluable contributions in many areas during that time. Currently, Vicki is the “voice” of ABA Insurance Services and will likely be the person you speak with when you call our office. Vicki says the best part of her job is “speaking with our wonderful agents and our insureds."
She is the mother of three and a grandmother. She loves the outdoors, sports and spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends.
Anne currently serves as a Senior Accountant and has been in this position since the formation of the company in 2010. She was hired by Progressive Insurance and has remained in the Finance Department since 1997. In addition to her financial responsibilities, she works as a liaison with the claims and underwriting groups, and still serves as a contractor for Progressive. Prior to Progressive, she worked at Cole National (corporate office of Things Remembered) where she worked in the Cash Management department and worked closely with the Internal Audit group. She has a Bachelor's in Business Administration.
Anne moonlights as a craps dealer for an entertainment company that throws casino parties & fundraisers. In her free time, she enjoys a good game of golf (if there is such a thing) and she’ll never turn down a game of poker. Her favorite city traveled thus far is Sydney, Australia and really enjoyed the thrill of a bungee in New Zealand. She is always a fan of sarcasm. (If you read this far, you must really be bored).
||Senior Marketing Specialist
With a career primarily grounded in marketing and communications, Catherine has over 17 years of experience in the insurance industry. Before ABA Insurance Services, she started in Progressive’s Diversified Business Group as a Product Specialist, which included customer service, claims support and product analysis for the CPI/BVSI program. She migrated into Progressive’s Professional Liability Group, where her responsibilities included coordination of the program’s marketing, advertising, design, communication and branding efforts. Catherine transitioned to ABA Insurance Services at the company's inception in April 2010 when Progressive’s Professional Liability Group was split off in April 2010. She has a B.S. in advertising with a minor in graphic design from Kent State University.
Prior to ABA Insurance Services (formerly Progressive), Lisa accounted for acquisitions and divestitures at Eaton Corporation. Lisa graduated cum laude from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. She is also a licensed C.P.A. and a member of the Society for Financial Professionals. Lisa is responsible for product development, modifications to existing products, as well as sales, claims, and competitive analysis for both the Bank and Small Businesses groups. She has 15 years of underwriting, financial and management experience in the insurance industry, and has held the positions of Senior Underwriter and Accounting Manager within the company.
Lisa is a world traveler, amateur chef, and an especially gifted napper.
A'Lia joined ABA Insurance Services in February 2013. After devoting 4 years to the Small Business Program, her knowledge has grown and allowed her to become an important part of the cash processing and billing company wide. Previously, she spent 8 years of developing a knowledgeable foundation in accounting through working at an international accounting firm while pursuing a degree in accounting.
A'Lia lives in Euclid, Ohio, but spends most of her time in the inner city of Cleveland, where she grew up. She is an advocate for doing charity work for the homeless in her community. In her spare time, A'Lia loves to daydream about exercising while cooking 2,000 calorie meals with her monthly cooking club, Monday Blend©. She also likes to pass the time trying different hobbies such as painting, sewing, karaoke, glass blowing, and many, many more. A'Lia spends much of her time with her family and large group of friends attending various social events in the city.
Dave joined ABA Insurance Services directly from Progressive when the Professional Liability Group (PLG) split off in April 2010. At Progressive, David joined the Professional Liability Group as the Agency Experience and Marketing Manager and led the creation of the online EPLI platform and the national product roll out to the Progressive agency base. During the last several years, he has been primarily responsible for running the Small Businesses group. Under his management, our Small Businesses group has grown threefold since separating from Progressive. Prior to joining to Progressive, he was a senior underwriter with General Reinsurance underwriting public company directors and officers liability insurance. David earned his MBA from Case Western Reserve University and his BS degree from Bowling Green State University. He has also earned his CPCU and RPLU insurance designations.
Dave resides in Willoughby Ohio with his beautiful wife, Jennifer, and two awesome children, Katy and Kyle. During the winter months, Dave and his family enjoys skiing and attending kids sporting activities. The summer is filled with boating on Lake Erie and spending time with friends at their local boat club. Year round, he’s a very avid home remodeler and spares no expense when it comes to having the latest tools. He is also a fitness buff and uses time at the gym to re-energize and relieve stress.
||Senior Software Engineer
Geetha serves as a Senior Software Engineer and has been part of the company since its formation in 2010. She joined Progressive in 2003 and was a core team member in the Special Lines IT team. She has designed and developed several rate revisions and high-value enhancements in the Special Lines Product area. Geetha has a diverse development background and system analysis skills and contributes to the support and enhancement of business systems for the company. Geetha holds a Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Electronics and Communications from Hindustan College of Engineering in Chennai, India.
Geetha lives with her husband and daughters in Highland Heights. She enjoys hiking, cycling, and cooking. She is an avid photographer and is very involved in dance and foreign language lessons for her daughter. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Nicole has nearly 15 years of experience in the insurance industry. She began her career as an Administrative Assistant in Progressive’s Professional Liability Group, where she had multiple responsibilities supporting both underwriting and claims in the Financial Institution Program. Nicole has been with ABA Insurance Services since its transition from Progressive in 2010, and is currently a Marketing Assistant.
Dan serves as a Software Architect for the company's Small Businesses group, focusing on the design and build of the EpiCenter/ProCision web platforms. He has been with the Progressive's Professional Liability Group in 2007 and transitioned to ABA Insurance Services at the company's inception in April 2010. Dan has over 20 years of experience in a Senior Developer/Architect role designing and developing web applications for Insurance, Healthcare, and Human Resources industries. Dan holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science from Baldwin Wallace University, and a BS/BA Degree in Marketing/Business Administration from the University of Akron.
Dan is married and has two boys, one in college and one in high school. He enjoys running and the occasional round of golf. He is a long-suffering Cleveland sports fan who hopes to one day witness a championship in Cleveland. He is an avid music fan with an oddly keen recall of mediocre 80’s songs.
